“Golden Morn is not an infant cereal” Golden Morn finally responds.

Golden Morn finally responds. Should You give your baby/toddler Golden Morn?

This post was first published on Mama Bear Naija, 2018

Doctors advice that your baby can start solids from 6 months of age. And there are many moms who are clueless on what type of solids to feed their 6 month old babies, especially when the baby does not fancy pap.
Golden morn responds, says not an infant meal

This question has been asked over and over again on different forums, Facebook groups et co. And we at Frank Naija Momma exclusively have the answer.

“Doctor, can I give my baby Golden Morn?” Over the years this question has been frequent for many Nigerian mothers and Nigerian paediatricians. And we can see why. It’s affordable. For just a pack of 500 gram of Golden morn you can spend less than 400 Naira. It is also simpler to make.
However, Golden morn says their product is not for babies.

I, FNM, your favorite mummy blogger and investigator, took to Facebook messenger to ask their social media manager if Golden Morn was appropriate for specifically 6 month old babies seeing as that is the medically appropriate time to start introducing your baby to solids.

Their reply was, though the favorite cereal of many Nigerian household, is harmless, however caution should be taken when given to babies.

They went on to say: "we advise consumption from 3 years and above because it is not an infant cereal."

They said it is NOT an infant cereal.

Please share with mothers.
